Using 11 gauge assures the longevity of each planter and improves structural rigidity. RAISED FEET Each planter comes with 1-inch raised feet, to allow proper drainage, and for a sleek modern look. DRAINAGE OPTION We offer a choice of drainage holes and no drainage holes. Drainage holes are beneficial when planting live planters. Helps to control the amount of water in the soil/dirt.Without drainage holes, for applications where you will be using your own irrigation and drainage systems. Corten Steel or "Weathering" Steel develops the rust patina over time. See the below weathering process .
