Being in the Heat industry, this little heater intrigued me, being that it was vented, for the $$$, I Skeptically gave it a try...(also bought 3 yr Warranty, just in Case). I have an 8'x14' well insulated Wood Shop, with a tall vaulted/Shed Roof ceiling (10 foot, sloping to 7 foot). 8,000 BTU may have been technically overkill, but it's ALWAYS wise to Oversize any heating system by 20%, if possible, especially this type of unit... This heater has NO FAN, Needs No Electricity...The Flame Box/Burner Assembly is Inside, the burn Chamber vents Outside. It draws cold combustion air from outside, which is pre-heated by the Flue/Exhaust pipe, making it VERY efficient, Clean burning, and NO FUMES inside the Heated Area like those Cheapo "Open Flame,Stinky Un-Vented Wall heaters" you see at Big Box Stores...The parts are Quality Stainless steel !, Well made, and if you are Competent with tools, and are able to follow Directions, it is quite simple to install, All directions and Parts were included...EXCEPT for the Gas Connection Supplies, which a novice should not attempt, (and may be unlawful in your area). I had a licensed friend do the final check of my work and we Fired it up with No issues! It's nothing short of Quality, I live in the NorthEast, Cold winters, and I have Not turned this Heater past 'Medium' yet, I leave it on the Low position 90% of the time, it maintains my wood shop At 70* most days, unless it gets 5* or below, then some mornings it may be 62 to 65* inside. I do use a small ceiling fan in my shop (Only 15" Fan blades, light socket style, as seen on TV...LOL) and it literally SIPS Propane...You can See the Burn Chamber and Burner thru a small thick glass view port inside the building, it is regulated well, burns properly and heats well. I have even used it during power outages and it's a great option for small Cabins or Off-Grid Situations!. I, and my Licensed friend are amazed at how well it does, (He actually bought one for his shop ! ). This heater would do an area 12'x12' no problem, although at a higher setting most likely. Knowing how well these work, I would Easily recommend for a Cold Basement, a Sunroom, or a bedroom at the end of a cool Hallway, etc. Totally Safe,Sealed and efficient. If I do build my small Cabin, I will be using 2 of these for Heat, with a WoodStove for backup. The No Electricity option is nice to have in remote areas as well. The Price for these did initially make me weary, but looking at the Manufacturer and Components, most parts that would need changing are readily available at a Heat Supply Store.
