I have purchased a good number of electronic Door Locks, so I have a good sense of relative quality I believe. I am impressed with this Combination Electronic Deadbolt, and beautiful sculpted Handset in Antique Bronze. First, what some may not notice is that this Lock in terms of the Key backup (they give you two keys) has a good number of 'pins'. I have seen some locks with really minimal pins, which could make them easy to 'pick'. This Key part of the lock however seems good because the keys have what I believe is 5 pins. Cheaper locks have 3. Take a look at my pictures and you can see how thick the key part of the lock is, sticking out from the body. This allows for better security in terms of the keys. Now, getting to the Electronic part. When I first saw the description I was worried for two reasons: It seemed to imply that 6 digits were REQUIRED for the Code to open the lock. I wanted to have the ability to use just 4 digits. Well, you can use from Four to Nine digits which is great flexibility. There are many locks that do require Six, which for some purposes is just too many for my uses. The next issue I was worried about was the description of the "lock out" when five wrong codes were entered. It implied that it required an opening of the battery box to get out of the "lock out". That worried me because to open the battery box you have to already be inside. When I checked it out, it turns out that after 90 seconds it goes back to 'normal' and the codes to open can then be entered again. This was also important to me. So, I found out my two biggest worries worked out to be not worries, and the Lock was setup they way I really wanted it to work. That was really nice to learn. So, for not much cost IMHO, you get what I consider a robust Electronic Lock with flexibility in code length from 4 to 9 digits, you get a good Key mechanism that implies to me good security (compared to many other electronic locks.) And you get really nice sculpted Antique Brass Door Handles as a bonus. I really like this lock plus door handles package and it is one of the top Electronic Locks I have examined. I recommend this, it seems a good value, and a good lock with a nice matching door handle bonus.I forgot to mention, it will also "Auto-Lock" after a delay to seconds you can program from 5 to 30. It also allows for 'beeps' or 'silent' operation.
