Got this lift because the floor to seat high enough to put a person into our minivan passenger seat.The lift moves easily on our carpet, almost effortlessly on the non-carpeted areas & on concrete garage floor. Not so well on asphalt.Easy to disassemble to put into our minivan when we go to doctor appointments for example.The one drawback is that when the lift is raised to 70 percent or greater of the maximum lift height, the arms tend to tilt slightly downward due to a person's weight (160 pound person) causing a slight binding on the column and when lowering the lift down, it tends to lurch every so often until it gets low enough that the binding is no longer an issue (approx 40-45 percent extended).Not the lift's problem but if frequent lifts are required (i.e., every 1-2 hours), the amount of cranking can tire you out and would recommend a hydraulic or electric lift in such cases.Overall, very satisfied with this lift.11/21/23 Update: Changed the rating to 5 stars based on the customer service we received from LIHONG. They replaced the riser column which had defective roller bearings and made it impossible to crank the lift up or down. They just required photos of the defective parts and promptly sent a replacement. Thank you LIHONG!
