My flu actually measured 15" x 15-3/4" so I was a little nervous. The description said the 15 x 15 would fit up to 16 x16. It fit very nicely so it seems it would actually fit up to 16 x 16.It was a little bit dinged up when I got it, but it’s fine, it’s going on my roof so it’s not like I’m gonna be staring at it or anything. I did have to use my own longer screws that I had in order for it to fit correctly. We’ll see if it holds on during a windstorm. I can finally have a fire in my fireplace for Christmas.Easy to install. This is the only cover that fits my chimney as is a little pricey. Wish that they included the correct screws for all the holes to mount it. $2 at Home Depot fixed it, but a little disappointing.I love this. We had our mason put it on the chimney for us. It fit just right. The mason was actually very interested to learn that Draft King makes this size (I think we got the 4”x8” one? If memory serves...) He said he didn’t know they made this size and made a larger one fit onto his own chimney with wooden shims. Anyhow, it’s an excellent product. The quality speaks for itself. I expect this thing to last at least for my lifetime!GREAT value! Had more than adequate threaded holes to mount securely. Unfortunately it only came with 4 mounting bolts. I used 8 because it had the holes and my chimney is in a very windy spot but thanks to the multiple mounting holes it's still there! Good heavy construction. I would purchase again and definitely recommend it!The item itself is fine, just what you would expect. The packaging is sub-par. It is just a corrugated cardboard box with the item inside. There is no padding for the thin sheet metal. Mine arrived bent on all four sides, and a little paint was chipped. I have the tools and was able to straighten it out.The item looks good but is flawed with design issues. First, the vertical black steel band at the bottom section with the bolt holes in it stands too short for the flat bolt surface to completely touch the upper surface of the standard size flue. As a result about 1/2 - 2/3 of bolt surface is above the flue top instead of in contact with.it completely. Second, the location of the bolt holes were selected by the designer's poor judgement. That is, the Flat surface of bolts are to touch the Round surface of the flue. My existing chimney cap has four holes positioned at the correct locations, i.e., on the flat sides of the metal belt so that the flat side of each bolt touches the flat side of the belt surface. Lastly, not design but a manufacturing issue found as two of the four bolt holes were made smaller than needed.Looks great after some slight modifications my stack is 20"×20" aluminum from the roof up i had to cut where the tightening bolts go in the corners and bend em straight to get it to slide down over my square outlet then drilled holes on the sides and put self tappers in to secure it then touched up paintedd it and it looks like newWe installed the 13” X 13” chimney cap on our 12” X 12” masonry fireplace chimney today. Very easy to install and looks good as well.Perfect fit. Easy to install.
