I had the opportunity to work with EmpowerDX because I write about gluten-free living and the company reached out to me to be featured in a news program for Celiac Disease Awareness Month. Both my daughter and I decided to take the test. I had already been diagnosed with celiac disease 10 years ago, so spoiler alert, I have one of the celiac genes. I had prior tested my son for the celiac gene with a blood draw, which wasn't fun. She doesn't have celiac, nor does this test mean she will get celiac. But knowing he has the gene means she can be more vigilant in her health and monitor closely for symptoms.
