The 2nd album by this underrated english rock band, is just tremendous. The line-up consisted of (the late) Mick Stubbs guitar, keyboards and lead vocals Laurie Wisefield who later in 1974 joined Wishbone Ash, bassist Cliff Williams who later joined some band called AC/DC and played with them until he retired earlier last year and drummer (the late) Mick Cook. This album has the vibe of west-coast rock with a tad of english folk-rock, i'd recommend this if you were planning on playing the Eagles or the Doobie Brothers for the millionth time!Great tracks in, "Dreamer", "Fancy Lady, Hollywood Child", "Rise Up", "Knave" the excellent stunner "Baby Friend of Mine" and the great album closer "Lady of the Birds", with Williams' bass bow sounding like a cello and Wisefield's great guitar work. "Shady Lady", a b-side is a very strong bonus track.I also recommend their last album "The Alchemist", in 1973. Esoteric keeps giving us great lost British album rock from the 60's and 70's and the remastering of this disc is incredible!
