We needed something to help get my rigid frame chair loaded in the back of our 4 runner. These have been great! We don’t need anything where I stay in the chair, just something for my husband to take it in and out so I can’t speak to someone perhaps needing something more substantial for a power chair. Mine is somewhat heavy at about 55 lbs and since we are aren’t young these make loading/unloading easy. They are compact and telescope between 4 - 7 ft. Simply for loading and unloading a chair with no one in it into a vehicle it’s been great. Like I said they have to go up as far as the rear of a 4 runner and we haven’t had any problems. Remember, it is 2 pieces (one for each side) but setting them up on the car at the correct width was easy after using them a few times. As I said, my chair weighs about 50 some lbs with its power assist wheels and battery. We have enough room in the back of our 4 runner so that nothing needs to to be removed from the chair. It’s just in and out. So if you have an SUV with decent rear cargo space a rigid chair can go in without any breakdown.Also, these are light and come with a handy travel bag. We end up leaving them loose most the time because it’s faster for quick errands.Excellent product- I recommend!
