I have been using a 5-gallon Solo backpack sprayer but needed something I could keep off of my not so healthy back. So, I got this cart sprayer.I was pleasantly surprised how well-built the sprayer is. All the components look to be top-notch. My Solo wand broke several times but it was cheap plastic and this is a stainless steel wand with a high-quality metal spray nozzle. The battery life looks to be very good, something like 6-8 tanks based on how it is going so far.In terms of performance it is very powerful -- it feels like it is several times more powerful than my backpack sprayer even though it is only rated at ~50% more psi. The spray is both finer and higher-volume than a backpack sprayer and so will cover 3-4 times faster. It seems to be somewhere between the hand-pump sprayers and the air-blast sprayers in terms of the rate and how fine the mist is.I have had no problems at all using the sprayer, just put a few parts together, charge the battery, and start spraying.The only thing I found a bit odd is the sprayer makes funny noises when it gets low, I think the motor is trying to clear out a potential clog.There is a special self-cleaning setting but I have not used it as it seems primarily useful if you are leaving chemical in the tank but want to flush out the pump/wand. I just flush out the whole thing when I am done.The hose length ends up being OK but I would prefer a longer hose. The supplier said they would be listing a hose extension in a few months and I plan on getting one. It would also be nice to have a wand extension option, it is working better than I thought on higher trees due to the high pressure but overall it would be easier to get the spray higher up with a wand extension.
