Odd piece of kit. One - the foot print is quite small, which is nice! It fits quite comfortable on or below a desktop. This is great because space is often at a premium in hobby spaces. Two - incorporated airbrush holders are nice to have. It's a silly thing but sometimes you have a brush full of paint and you need a place for it to chill securely while you fiddle w/ something else. Three - it is quite quiet. Although there is no tank and therefore will run rather consistently, it is not loud enough to be a nuisance. I would be quite comfortable operating at night. In fact, I have for testing. Four - surprisingly powerful pressure. In fact - this might be the negative of this unit. Can you trust the pressure gauge? I'm not sure - but according to the unit itself, it does not get lower than about 45-55 psi. My primary use w/ airbrushes is scale modeling, Gunpla, and more often than not- miniature painting. For this purpose? Overkill. The pressure is simply too high for fine work. For priming or batch painting large pieces or many things at once I think this would be great. I just think the pressure is too high for fine, delicate work/blending etc. Perhaps w/ a secondary regulator this would be fine but at that point is it really worth it?
