I dont' think Shure did good job on the marketing for this one to properly pickup on how good this capsule is. They focused on rejection and marketing this as the SM58 replacement. At the price point it's not going to be SM58 replacement. However; it the nuance this capsure is picking up is unreal good. While not a quite a condensor type of sound it's very close picking up subtle nuance of the voice. If you looking for mic for screaming singer or some that yells line, this likely would not fit well. But if you have a great vocalist and looking to showcase them, this mic is heads above the rest. I got this coming from wired Beta 58 units and decided to take our vocal wireless. So without a shipped option with the this new unit got the capsule. I honestly expcected it to be similar to our Beta 58s but figured I give it shot. Blow away how detailed it is. And I had to change the board eq to take a lot of EQ out as this mic didn't need much. For our vocalist a little cut at 500k to pull out a bit of the boxness and very little lift on highs.
