My mom bought this for me because I was walking to work, and we were expecting a brutal winter. It was great at keeping me warm and I appreciated it a lot. However, it's not the most fashionable or nicest coat that I own. But I am grateful to own it.I love this coat! It is BEAUTIFUL! So well made, warm, fits perfect. I am 5'7", 160 lbs, I ordered the XL and it fits like a glove. The detail on this coat is beautiful. When you zip it all the way over your chin, it is SOFT, the zipper doesn't scratch me like other coats have.Here is why I did not give it 5 stars...The pockets. The pockets are cheesy compared to the quality of the rest of the coat. I specifically checked to make sure it had ZIPPERED pockets before ordering it, I always have to have an asthma inhaler on me and those suckers are EXPENSIVE, so I like having zippered pockets on my coat to prevent losing the inhaler. The pockets on this coat are in the side seams, they have no kind of cuff or piping on them to locate them easily, the pull is very small, it is very difficult to find/access these pockets. That was kind of a disappointment to me. I may change the little metal pull to something bigger to make the pockets more easy to find while I am walking in this coat.But otherwise, WONDERFUL, soft, warm luxurious coat for the money!Heavy, well-made, fits well, feels good. LOVE the double front zipper, and also that you can just use the snaps in front for a quick-close. The only missing "star" is that I don't care for the zipper side-pockets, and wish there were at least one pair of inside pockets.I would really liked to have rated this a 3.5... I don’t feel it deserves a 3, but fit/functionality issues are not insignificant.I’m 5’3”, and what I’d describe as fit. Fairly slim, kinda muscular. I ordered a small. From the waist up, this coat is great- warm, sleeves are the right length (probably couldn’t fit a bulky sweater under them but I’d overheat anyway), hood is nice and stays on my head.The biggest issue is waist-down... First of all, you have to zip this coat up from the bottom. It comes down to mid-shin on me, so all else aside that’s kind of annoying. And then I have a lot of trouble zipping it over my hips, and once I do it limits my range of motion and feels pretty tight. I don’t feel like my butt is *that* big... the coat just doesn’t flare or widen at all, as far as I can tell.The upside is that since it has 2 zippers, once you zip it closed (upwards, up to the neck), you can unzip the bottom part open using the second zipper that’s still at the bottom. If I unzip up to the waist the mobility problems disappear, although I then lose the leg protection. But it’s annoying enough that I mostly just don’t zip it, and use the snaps instead. That’s one nice thing- the snaps work well and are snug, and you still get good wind/cold blockage.I should say I’m keeping the coat- I like the color (purple) and the upper half is great like I said, and snapping it shut works for me in most circumstances. I can deal with the extra 30 seconds to finagle the zipper if I have to walk or wait for a long time in the cold, so it’s not insurmountable.This is my first time buying a long coat like this, so maybe it’s a well-known problem, but I didn’t see it in the reviews I read so I wanted to leave one. It should work great for you if you’re more svelte than I am. But if you’re even a little curvy, I’d size up or maybe look at other options.it's basically what i was hoping for, though personally i wish i could find more clothes with natural fabrics which don't create a lot of static and stick to my hair and clothing. the outer fabric and liner fabric are very light and feel nice to the hand, i just wish it didn't have to be polyester or similar synthetics in so many clothes such as this article.the fill is light, its a great layer but probably not the warmest down coat a person could find. The weight of the fill is fine for me in my situation, and is most likely suitable for others who don't need the warmest coat. It has a nice filled inner collar, and is easy to close up for extra protection from loss of heat and wind. I have yet to try it outside in the winter cold, but that should happen fairly soon. it fits comfortably with room for more layers of clothing and ease of movement, it is very nice as a near full body warmer, and the color i got is very pretty.The coat is adorable, and I would have to assume warm as anticipated. However, I am a size 6, ordered a medium thinking that little bit of extra room would be good to allow for it to be worn over a sweater, but I found the item to be huge from top to bottom. I'm hoping the small I'm ordering will fit better and arrive in time for the intended first use.Look no further. This is the coat you want! I am 4’9” and a curvy 123. I bought a size small and it fits perfectly. I was specifically looking for a super long coat that would almost come to my ankles. It hits me about 2 inches above my ankles. I live in the Midwest and it’s extremely cold and windy, so I wanted full protection. I wanted a hood that wouldn’t blow off. I was also hunting for a tapered look around my waist so I could look feminine in my jacket. Well, this is the coat. I was super pleased when I opened the package and tried it on. The jacket is a nice weight and not too heavy. It fits nicely around the waist so I look like I have a waist line. The fur can be taken on or off the hood with buttons instead of a zipper. The fur was packed separately and came in good condition and doesn’t look cheap. The jacket has hidden pockets with zippers on the outside and one pocket on the inside near the chest area. The snaps on the jacket are extremely heavy duty and so is the zipper.Both the zipper and the snaps go all the way to the bottom. This is a great coat and it should probably cost more based on the quality.I really liked this coat alot. It was warm and love the double zip option. I havent had a chance to wear because I had to return because it was too tight in my hips but i am going to reorder a size up.The styling is great. It's warm for weather -20.Very warm.
